    Short Introduction

    I studied at the universities of Paris (VIII) in France, and the LMU in Munich, Germany (M.A). In 2006 I completed a PhD in Comparative Cultural Studies/Anthropology at the University of Ghent, Belgium. Thereafter  I worked as a researcher in various cross-border EU funded projects, and was appointed by the University of Southampton, U.K. as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (2007-2010) for the EU Sixth Framework Project: SeFoNE. “Searching for Neighbours: The Dynamics of Mental and Physical Border in the New Europe” where she researched African diasporic networks in Germany, Austria & Switzerland. My current research focuses on Migration & Refugee Studies,  Black European, Gender Studies, Diversity and Social Justice.

    • 2010-2013- Diversity Marketing Manager for Stadtmarketing Mannheim LLC

    • From 2013 -  2014  I worked as a  CSR & Diversity Manager at m:con-mannheim:congress GmbH in Mannheim.

    • I organised and moderated the “Anti-Racism in Education Forum”  at the Interkultur- 2014  in Mannheim.

    • At the same time I was invited as an academic Fellow at the Bayreuth Academy of Advanced African Studies (2013-2014) while being a network member of the Black Diaspora in Germany Scholars Project funded by the German

    • Research Foundation(DFG) 2010-2014.


    • Curatorial team member  in 2015 for the exhibition: (K)ein Platz an der Sonne“ für das Humboldt Lab Dahlem- Probebühne 7.

    • From January 2016 – May 2019  I worked for the Federal Employment Agency in Team -180 Migration and Refugees
