Project Report RACE2050 - Summary
The RACE2050 future study aims to identify key success factors for a sustainable growth of the European transport industry in order to be able to formulate policy recommendations up until the year 2050. A multitude of existing foresight studies from the transportation sector will be merged into a "Synopsis Tool" in order to be able to subsequently compare and to assess them in terms of their projections, objectives, and in particular with regard to their different policies to achieve these objectives. The results of these analyses will be discussed together with different experts from the transport industry, research and politics. From these discussions, the project will eventually develop in the form of unique scenarios for 2030 and 2050 core concepts for a sustainable and competitive European transport industry.
