Escape Challenge Quantum Technologies (EsCQuTe)
Second-generation quantum technologies have the potential to fundamentally change our world. Sparking interest in quantum technologies among the general public and especially among young scientists is a key to Germany's innovative capacity as a science location. For this to happen, the opportunities of quantum technology must be tangible and understandable for many people.
The Escape Challenge Quantum Technologies will be a live escape game that challenges the players to solve exciting puzzles collaboratively. They are immersed in a world in which second-generation quantum technologies are already being used. The players are thus motivated to engage with the remarkable properties of the new quantum technologies in a playful way. The Escape Room concept will be made freely available to educational institutions and event organisers. In this way, a broad public is given the opportunity to participate in the social discourse on the development potential of quantum technologies.
EsCQuTe's Escape Room is a worldwide novelty with its specialisation in quantum technologies. The focus of the Escape Room is on demonstrating the applicability and immediate benefits of physical technologies. Especially the playful approach and the element of surprise of the Escape Room are suitable to generate active participation and thus reach many people with diverse backgrounds.
